This piece was written by one of our technicians, Amy. It is a very emotional piece, so be prepared.
They say April showers bring May flowers, and gardens seem to be in full bloom. It feels that spring has finally sprung. And while things seem to be on the upswing, April was a challenging month here at GVVC. During April we helped over 45 clients say goodbye to their cherished pets.
At GVVC, we celebrate the arrival of your new family member. We are invested in helping you with all the things that come with pet ownership: the questions, concerns, problems, and all the joyful moments, too. As your pet becomes a senior citizen, our goal is to keep them comfortable-support you through uncertain moments. When it is time to say goodbye to your cherished companion, we are here to comfort you; just as importantly, we are present for your pet, reminding them how loved they are and how lucky they were to be part of your family.
All of us at GVVC have said goodbye to many of our own pets over the years. Whether we’ve known your pet since the beginning or cared for them through a difficult illness, we are committed to the relationship we’ve built. The loss affects us all in some way,and yet we must be prepared to help the next pet that needs us.
When you are ready to start this journey again, to let a new pet in to your life and your heart, we will be here, waiting to join you. We will take those first steps with you and be there when that road ends; and for that thrilling adventure along the way. Why? Because it’s who we are and it’s what we do….and we love it.
